Stress Management and Resiliency Training
A Relaxation Response Resiliency Program ™The Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) program was developed by the Benson-Henry Institute of Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. The program teaches self-care practices that help buffer daily stress, making participants less emotionally and physically vulnerable to it.
As a Benson-Henry Institute SMART Certified Healthcare Practitioner, Dr. Serrato delivers this program in eight weekly sessions.
Learn Skills to Better Manage Stress and Build Resilience
The program is designed to help participants better manage stress and build resilience through a variety of mind body principles and self-care interventions. These interventions may help reduce medical symptoms and enhance a person’s quality of life.
By learning the mind-body techniques taught in the program, participants understand the connection between stress and physical or emotional problems. Participants learn a variety of techniques to elicit the body’s innate stress buffer known as the relaxation response and to appreciate the role of positive thoughts and beliefs. Participants also learn the importance of healthy eating, restorative sleep and physical activity, as well as strategies to optimize these lifestyle factors.
Anyone with the following would benefit:
